URGENT CAMPAIGN : Bag inah Barrel
Project 1876 has launched a humanitarian drive called Bag in a Barrel; collecting essential items such as food, clothing, baby supplies, and books to support families in Jamaica affected by Hurricane Melissa.Barrels are placed on campus at the University of Wolverhampton, inviting students and staff to contribute to this act of collective kindness.This campaign represents the heart of Project 1876; turning compassion into action, and unity into opportunity towards a more sustainable future.
What is Project 1876?
Project 1876 is a grassroots back-to-school initiative created to help students in under-served Jamaican communities access to resources such as back-to-school comprehensive and text books, uniforms, stationery, school fees, and long term, we are thinking scholarships and more sustainable safe youth space.Founded by Jamaican-born author, creative visionary and social entrepreneur Jackeshia “Kaycee Light” Campbell, the project combines storytelling and fashion to raise funds, pride, and opportunity — all while repping the parish that raised you.
